Gene strives to help clients achieve their investment objectives and reach their long-term financial goals. He began his career in the financial services more than 30 years ago.

Hailing from the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area, Gene grew up in a military family. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.

Gene has been married to his wife, Tracie, for 28 years, and they have three adult sons: Brandon, an Army captain and surgeon; Matthew, a software salesman; and Drew, on full athletic scholarship to play quarterback at Vanderbilt University. They love sports and traveling with the family. Gene has coached baseball and football over the years but now likes to spend his free time hunting, fishing, hiking and biking with friends.  

Originally from Dallas, Karen has been in the industry for more than 40 years. Together with Gene, she believes that serving the needs of clients is a top priority. Her focus is on client service and building and maintaining strong client relationships.

In Karen’s spare time, she enjoys exploring the beautiful parks and trails that Austin has to offer, spending time on her patio, and tending to her plants. She also loves live music, going to restaurants with family and friends, and searching for that one-of-a-kind treasure at antique stores and estate sales.
